One of The Guy and I's big goals for the year was to make sure that our parents could meet one another. We batted around ideas for a while - going to Cleveland? going to Denver? - until we found a happy solution for everyone - meeting here in Florida...and going to Disneyworld!
My parents arrived on Tuesday night, and his parents arrived on Wednesday. It gave us a chance to introduce them and get to know one another before venturing to Disney.
Saturday morning, we drove to Orlando and spent the day at Epcot Center. I had been sick the whole day before (I apparently brought a stomach buddy home with me from Belize...until the antibiotics kill him, his name will be Pedro), to the point where I stayed home at work, but I didn't want to bail out on our plan to go. I took it easy, drank a lot of water, and had a great time.

The Guy and I at the entrance to Epcot. E had talked us into picking up "Just Engaged" pins to celebrate our engagement with our families.
It was Garden Festival while we were at Epcot, so the whole park was decked out with full floral displays and topiaries...it was gorgeous!
Me and my beautiful mom...if I look half as good at her when I'm older, I'll thank my lucky stars!
The Disney character topiaries were sooooo cool...looked just like the real thing!
The entrance to The Living Seas...my mom was so excited that they had changed it to Finding Nemo.
I wish I could steal this wall and store it away for when we have kids (lol)...

Beautiful flowers at Epcot Center...
We met up with the newlyweds on their "mini moon" and E and I grabbed some margaritas in Mexico...
I love my mom. Only she would steal my dad's margarita so she could get a picture with us too...lol
And my future mother-in-law joins in the mix!
Yes, that would be the man I am marrying. He's so studious and serious.
Playing kissyface in Mexico...
M and The Guy being mighty vikings in Norway...
But my dad takes the cake of Viking King.
Lady and the Tramp topiary in Italy...
Snow White topiary in Germany...
Bashful topiary in Germany...
We actually waited in line to take a picture with a Disney princess. Yes, we are that crazy. But hell, we're in Disneyworld!
The Guy and his mighty turkey leg in America...
My fiance unhinges his jaw to eat his turkey leg. Insane.
Pretty pretty bridal princesses...lol
Mimicking Cinderella and The Prince...
...all those dance lessons coming back!
M & E with Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming...
Our new blended family - Ken, Deb, The Guy, Me, my mom and dad
Overall, it was a great weekend...the parents all got along, we had a wonderful weekend at Disney, and we got in some real quality time with our families.
